Brief introduction of ST fiber patchcord
The ST fiber patch cord is an optical fiber patch cord terminated with an ST connector. Developed by AT&T, it is an older fiber patch cord product. Its core is exposed, its housing is round, and it is screw-fastened. It needs to be inserted first, then rotated for a half week, and finally fixed by the bayonet.

Classification of ST fiber patch cords
1. ST fiber jumper can be divided into single-mode and multi-mode according to different types of fiber, as follows:
ST single-mode fiber jumper is generally yellow, suitable for long-distance transmission;
ST multi-mode fiber jumpers are generally orange, aqua blue and green, suitable for short-distance transmission.
2. ST fiber jumper can be divided into ST-FC fiber jumper, ST-LC fiber jumper, ST-SC fiber jumper and ST-ST fiber jumper according to the different connectors, as follows:
The ST-ST fiber patch cord uses ST connectors at both ends. The ST connector housing has a circular shape with its core exposed and a turnbuckle fastening method.
The ST-FC fiber jumper is an ST connector used at one end, and an FC connector at the other end. The FC connector housing has a round thread, and the external material is metal, and a turnbuckle fastening method is adopted.
The ST-LC fiber jumper is an ST connector used at one end and an LC connector at the other end. The LC connector has a small size and is only half of the SC and FC connectors, and is easy to operate.
The ST-SC fiber jumper is an ST connector used at one end and an SC connector at the other end. The SC connector housing is rectangular and uses a latching and latching fastening method.
ST fiber jumper use attention
1. Read the product manual carefully before installation, and then install and debug under the guidance of the engineer.
2. Before use, the ST fiber jumper ceramic ferrule and the insert end face clean;
3. The wavelengths of the optical modules at both ends must be the same and used correctly. The short-wave optical module uses the ST multi-mode optical fiber jumper, and the long-wave optical module uses the ST single-mode optical fiber jumper.
4. Do not over bend and surround the ST fiber jumper during use.
5. The dust cap is inserted back in time to protect the insert and the insert end face against dust and oil contamination.
