Single-Mode Fiber
Our single-mode fiber pulse carries light transmissions efficiently directly up and down the fiber. Single-mode fibers from Cables Unlimited are better at retaining the light pulse’s fidelity than other multi-mode fibers. The retention ability gives single-mode a higher bandwidth.

Single-mode fibers from Cables Unlimited have four main components: the core, cladding, buffer, and the jacket. Our cores have a diameter of 8 to 10.5mm, and cladding diameters of 125mm. As a rule, single-mode equipment may have a higher manufacturing cost; however, single-mode fiber cable will be less expensive.
