Precautions for using fiber jumpers
The transmit and receive wavelengths of the optical modules at both ends of the fiber jumper must be the same, that is, the two ends of the fiber must be the same wavelength optical modules.
In general, short-wave optical modules use multimode fibers (orange fibers) and long-wave optical modules use single-mode fibers (yellow fibers) to ensure the accuracy of data transmission.
Do not bend or loop the fiber excessively during use, as this will increase the attenuation of light during transmission.
After using the optical fiber jumper, the optical fiber connector must be protected with a protective sleeve. Dust and oil will damage the coupling of the optical fiber. If the fiber connector is dirty, you can clean it with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol, otherwise it will affect the communication quality.
1. The ceramic ferrule and ferrule end face of the fiber optic jumper must be wiped clean with alcohol and absorbent cotton before use.
2. The minimum bending radius of the fiber is less than 30mm.
3. Protect the ferrule and the end face of the ferrule to prevent injuries and pollution. Wear a dust cap in time after disassembly.
4. Do not look directly at the end face of the fiber when the laser signal is transmitted.
5. In case of human or other force majeure damage, the damaged optical fiber jumper should be replaced in time.
6. Read the instructions carefully before installation, and install and debug under the guidance of the manufacturer or dealer's engineer.
7. If the optical fiber network or system is abnormal, you can use the troubleshooting method to test one by one. When testing or troubleshooting the jumper, you can do the continuity test first. Usually, you can use a visible laser pointer to judge the entire optical fiber link. Or further use a precision optical fiber insertion loss return loss tester to test its various indicators. If the indicators are within the qualified range, the jumper indication is normal, otherwise it is unqualified.

Tips
Selection of optical fiber jumper
There are mainly three types of fiber optic jumpers according to the type of termination: ST-ST, SC-SC, ST-SC.
According to the type of fiber, there are mainly two types of single-mode fiber and multi-mode fiber.
Jumper length specifications are 0.5m, 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m, 10m and so on.
According to the cable outer sheath material, it can be divided into ordinary type, ordinary flame retardant type, low-smoke halogen-free type (LZSH), low-smoke halogen-free flame retardant and so on.
According to the fire rating of the building and the fire resistance requirements of the materials, comprehensive measures should be taken for the integrated wiring system.
For laying cables or optical cables in flammable areas and shafts of buildings, flame-resistant cables and optical cables should be used;
In large public places, flame-retardant, low-smoke and low-toxic cables or optical cables should be used;
Adjacent equipment or transfer rooms should use flame-retardant wiring equipment.
How to test whether the fiber jumper is qualified
Use a plug-in return loss meter to first test whether the jumper is clear with a light pen and determine that the fiber is not broken. General telecommunication-grade test indicators: insertion loss is less than 0.3dB, and return loss is greater than 45dB.
The performance testing of fiber jumpers is divided into:
Optical performance test
Including return loss / insertion loss test, the test instrument can use FibKey 7602 return loss / insertion loss integrated tester.
2. End face geometry test
Test parameters include curvature radius, vertex offset, fiber height, etc. The testing instrument is an interferometer. Many people use NorlandAC / NC3000 or CC6000 for testing. In particular, CC6000 interferometer is used by more and more factories because of its superior cost performance.
3. Scratch detection on fiber end face
Use a video fiber magnifier for observation. For example, many factories use FibView FV-400PA for inspection. The instrument gives the sharpest images and is extremely easy to operate. There are also customers using the FibKey-5600 variable magnification magnifier for testing. The instrument integrates 400x, 200x, and 80x magnifiers into one body, which can clearly and conveniently observe the fiber end face and the ferrule end face. Of course, you can also use the relevant software for automatic inspection.
4. Optical fiber tensile test
Need to test the amount of tensile force that the fiber optic connector can withstand.
5. Ambient temperature experiment
Need to test the performance indicators of fiber optic connectors under different ambient temperature conditions.

Are there any additional fees?
Normally, customers will not be charged of any additional fees via regular mail. However, due to increasingly strict customs inspection, sometimes customers may have to pay tariff if express shipping is chosen.
Why was my package returned?
The following reasons might cause the return of your package:

What happens if I am not in when my order arrives ?
Signature may be necessary when the package is to be delivered, so it is preferable for you or somebody else to be at home. If you have missed the package, please check with your local shipping company or post office with your tracking number to pick up the parcel as soon as possible.
The tracking service shows that the attempted delivery of my package Was unsuccessful, (or my package has been returned back to sender).What should I do?
